Terraform Industries is Casey Handmer’s bet on the most radical implication of cheap solar: run direct air capture, electrolysis, and methanation off photovoltaics to synthesize natural gas from sunlight, air, and water — and, as solar keeps falling down its cost curve, eventually make it cheaper than drilling. It’s e-fuels as an abundance play rather than a compliance one: carbon-neutral hydrocarbons as the default because they’re the cheapest barrel, not because they’re subsidized.
